Find your demographic

Not everyone is going to want your product or service.  For many people this is a hard pill to swallow and for those that don’t accept it, will spend money on advertising and marketing that just won’t convert.  When you have a product, it will fall into a specific demographic.  This will be a male age forty with no kids or it can be a single mother getting ready to go to college.  When you start to break down these specific people and their traits what you get is their demographic.

Know their pain points

When you purchase a product, you are purchasing because you are filling a pain point.  If you purchase food, it is because you are hungry.  If you purchase a car you need to get to work.  Before you start advertising and marketing you want to look at your demographic and decide on what their pain point is and what you can do to solve it.

Make your solution simple

Complex solutions don’t sell.  The more work someone has to put into getting an answer the less likely they will choose your solution and will put more effort into finding something simpler.  When creating your product or service you want to market how simple it is.  This is why people see, X number of steps to losing weight or achieve your goal in seven days.
